I’m back! With another Blogtober post. This one is a tag I was linked to a ridiculously long time ago. The aim is to look at the national days taking place on the day you do the tag and suggest a book that sort of fits that prompt. Thanks to Waves of Pages for coming up with and tagging me in it’s pilot!

National Child Health Day
Muse of Nightmares
This one springs to mind because Mina is most definitely not a well child by the end of this book.
National Consignment Day
A Darker Shade of Magic
Consignment is all about delivering goods and Kell used to take objects from Red London to Grey London and Holland transports between White London and Red London.
National Frappe Day
A Curse so Dark and Lonely
Ok why is national Frappe Day in the middle of winter?! Anyway I thought I’d go with a chilling baddie and who better than Lilith from A Curse so Dark and Lonely?
National Inner Beauty Day
The Hunger Games
With the announcement of the prequel this novel is vaguely on my mind and beauty is definitely a theme, with Katniss getting all dolled up and the ridiculous styles in the Capitol.
National LED Light Day
Caraval
Not as LED focussed as the prompt may want, but Caraval is full of pretty colours, from Scarlett’s power to Legends illusions I felt this novel fitted well to a prompt about lights.
National Chocolate Covered Pretzel Day
The Exact Opposite of Okay
Chocolate covered pretzels does not sound like a good combo. The salty tang of pretzels mixed in with sweet chocolate? I’m not convinced. But speaking of weird food combinations we had some very decadent ones in this novel: from milkshakes to Mac and cheese to your classic bag of Doritos.
Let’s Compare Notes
So there you have it! Which of these national holidays will you be celebrating today? Have you read any of the books? I’ll be doing my tagging over on Twitter but feel free to do the tag! Especially if you’re doing Blogtober, saves you coming up with another days post.
