Series on my TBR with 2019 Releases

Technically today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is books being released in the second half of 2019, but as theres only a couple I really want to read I’m going to be doing a slightly different topic: Series on my TBR with 2019 Releases. Some of them are the first in the series and others are the actual release (on the rare occasion that I’m actually caught up!)

1. Finale

If you follow me on any social media, you’ll know how excited I am to read this novel. I just can’t wait to see how it all ends!

2. Enchantee

This 2019 release just sounds amazing. I’ve heard nothing but praise and hope I can hop on the bandwagon soon!

3. Descendants of the Crane

Again, I’ve heard nothing but good things about this novel. And from the blurb it sounds amazing!

4. Children of Vengeance and Virtue

I’ve heard the release date has been moved back for this, but it’s still in 2019 and I’m so excited to see what happens next to Zelie and the gang.

5. The Cruel Prince

The Wicked King came out earlier this year (if you use book Twitter or Bookstagram this will not have escaped your notice) and I’m desperate to catch up and find out what the hype is all about!

6. Romanov

This book looks so pretty on Bookstagram and I’ve read some really positive reviews! Hopefully soon 🤞

7. A Curse so Dark and Lonely

I just got this January release out the library! Can’t wait to start.

8. King of Fools

After the ending of Ace of Shades I am so excited for this 😱😍

9. Stalking Jack the Ripper

This book is everywhere on Bookstagram, and with the fourth one being released this year hopefully I’ll actually start the first one 🤞😂

10. We Hunt the Flame

Honestly I know nothing about this book, other than it has some hard core Twitter fans, who have convinced me I want to read it for no good reason 😂

Lets Compare Notes

There you have it! Series with 2019 releases I’m excited to read! Which ones are you looking forward to? Have you read any of mine? Did you write a Top Ten Tuesday? Leave a link or opinion in the comments section!

      1. I have a pretty good selection, but not on NEW books. I feel like it’s so hard to get a new ebook that I want from them. And popular ones? Sometimes I have to wait months. But I do sign up for waiting lists for some. I had to wait like 2 or 3 months for One of Us is Lying after it came out. But happy that I had the opportunity because I really wanted to read that book!

  1. Ohh.. I’ve read three of the books in this list and one of them is We Hunt the Flame. I enjoyed the book, it was magical and packed with action and adventure. Nice twist on the TTT 😀

  2. Yeah, I need to read The Cruel Prince as well. There are so many interesting books out there and never enough time to stay caught up on all of them.

  3. AGH YOU HAVE TO READ KING OF FOOLS! We will find you a copy at YALC, I need to fangirl! Enchantee is brilliant as well, potentially you might be able to get that one at YALC as well, I think the UK publisher is Macmillan. I found Finale slightly disappointing, it’s still good, but not as good as Legendary. Descendant of The Crane and A Curse So Dark and Lonely, personally I didn’t enjoy much, but hopefully you will like more. I am so excited for Children of Virtue and Vengeance, but wish the release date didn’t keep getting pushed! Romanov was pretty great too. I need to read Stalking Jack The Ripper, it’s on my list for later this year and I have an e-ARC of We Hunt The Flame, so I’ll let you know what I think of both.

    1. I REALLY DO. I’ve heard such good things 😍 yay! Going to buy so many books at YALC! I remember you saying, most people seem to have loved though so I’m going in optimistically but not overly hyped. Yeah I remember you saying A Curse so Dark and Lonely wasn’t that good, which I was surprised by since I thought you loved Beauty and the Beast. Urg I know 😳 I’ve heard good things about Romanov, maybe I’ll be able to grab a copy at YALC? Ooh do, then I’ll know if I want to read it 😂 I don’t actually know what We Hunt the Flame is about 😳 I just see everyone talk about it! Thanks for the link

      1. IT IS SO GOOD. Ha ha yeah, I feel like for the last few weeks on your list, I’ve just been going, yup you have to buy this at YALC. That’s probably a good way of approaching it, maybe you’ll love it more than me. I do, but I just didn’t really find A Curse So Dark and Lonely magical enough, and I was kind of bored! I think you should be able to, I’m pretty sure it’s a Harper book and they definitely have a couple of stands at YALC. I will, I’d let you know what I think when I do.

  4. I love your take on this week’s prompt! I have high hopes for Finale. I have yet to read the second book, but I adored Caraval. Probably why it’s taking me so much to pick the last two books up. I hope you’ll enjoy these books! Happy reading!

  5. Enchantee, Finale and Stalking Jack the Ripper are fantastic novels! I hope you have a chance to read them all. After SJtR, make sure you read Hunting Prince Dracula and Escaping from Houdini. Capturing the Devil is coming out this fall so maybe you can do a read through of all three books in preparation for CtD’s release this year.

  6. I loved Enchantée. I’ve read a few of the others too and thought they were good. I still need to read Descendent of the Crane; I picked it up when it was on sale a few weeks ago.
